In deel 14 van de "10 vragen aan..." deze keer aandacht voor Chad Euverman

1. Where and when did you start playing hockey?
I began playing organized hockey in North Delta, a suburb of Vancouver when I was 6.
I started skating though at age 3 or 4.
2. What's the difference in your opinion between Canadian and Dutch hockey?
Canadian hockey is more physical then Dutch hockey probably because hockey is played on
smaller rinks in Canada.
3. How did you get in contact with the Grizzlies and why did you chose for this team?.
I e-mailed Marjan Post to come play for the Grizzlies as I am training with a company in
Groningen. This way I can work and play hockey at the same time.
4. How do you like playing here in Groningen and what do you think of the city?
So far it has been fun to play in Groningen. A few more fans at the games would be better,
but that is improving. I find the city to be very busy and coming from a big city myself, I really
enjoy that.
5. Your playing defence/forward, did you always play or wanted to play in this position?
I am playing defence. No, I never wanted to be a defenceman. I am a natural forward and
prefer to score goals then stop them, but certain things happened within my past few
teams that made me play defence.
6. Besides hockey, are there other things you do here in Groningen? (Study, working, being
lazy?)
I prefer to be lazy, but I am getting older and have to think about a career after hockey.
Thus, I am working at Muelink and Grol here in Groningen.
7. Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy going to movies, snowboarding, internet and sports gambling.
8. Do you have a girlfriend, are you married, are you single?
I am currently single so...call me!
9. What are your plans for the future?
My plans are to return to Canada and work, but if a great contract to play hockey comes my
way again, that could be postponed for another season.
10. Who's your favourite player?
My favourite player is/was Joe Sakic. I loved how he was a great offensive player, but was
also very good defensively and worked hard every shift. I try to do the same.
