1.   Where and when did you start playing hockey?
I began to play hockey when I was 6 years old in London, Ontario, Canada. I fell a lot, but
      never cried... Ever.

2.   What's the difference in your opinion between Canadian and Dutch hockey?
I was actually surprised that there isn't much difference when it comes down to passion for
a sport. Both Canadian and Dutch players that I have played with show a love for the
      game.
The only major difference is that more people play ice hockey in Canada.

3.   How did you get in contact with the Grizzlies and why did you chose for this team?
My agent arranged my arrival here in Groningen. The choice was fairly simple: it is pretty
hard to turn down an offer to a beautiful City and really friendly people.

4.   How do you like playing here in Groningen and what do you think of the city?
As an import player with the focus of my living here centered on hockey, it is really great to
go to the rink almost every day and see all of the guys. Hopefully we can start to win more
games to attract people to come watch. As for the city, there is still much to explore but I
can definitely get used to walking around the City-centrum, finding a seat at a cafe patio
      and talk with friends.

5.   Your playing forward, did you always play or wanted to play in this position?
I play forward for the Grizzlies, but have played defence in my past. As long as I am on the
ice it doesn't matter where I play - except for goalie, those guys are crazy.

6.   Besides hockey, are there other things you do here in Groningen? (Study, working, being
      lazy?)
My housemate (Ben Heersink) and I are trying to learn as much Dutch as we can while we
are here. As Dutch Canadians, we feel as though we owe it to our family members to try.
Other than that much time is spent playing hockey or baseball on the Sony Playstation. We
      are really bad at Fifa.

7.   Do you have any hobbies?
Besides beating Ben (Heersy) in Playstation, I enjoy playing the boardgame Risk with Blair
(Tassmanian devil), Pete (Pistol) and Francis (Wildcat). I enjoy beating them also.

8.   Do you have a girlfriend, are you married, are you single?
I keep telling myself that if I learn to speak a little more Dutch then the Groningen girls
might have an interest in me. So far no luck, but if you know of anyone, you have my email
      address :)

9.   What are your plans for the future?
My immediate future I would like to play professional ice hockey for a while. With my Dutch
passport coming in this year, I would be interested to continue playing in Netherlands, and
hopefully Groningen for a while longer. After that I will go back to school in Canada to
prepare for a career in player agency.

10. Who's your favourite player?
Ricardo (Ricky the Bod) Dijkema. He brings candy for us on the bus.
